Withdrawals and Refunds Policy

At CGN University, we understand that circumstances may lead students to consider withdrawing from a course or program. Here is our comprehensive Withdrawals and Refunds Policy:

Notification of Withdrawal:

  • Students must inform the University in writing of their withdrawal from a course or program.
  • Withdrawal notifications can be sent via email to .

Refund Calculation:

  1. Prior to the First Day of Class:

    • Full refund of tuition and fees, excluding a non-refundable 12% administration fee.
  2. After the Start of Class:

    • Refunds calculated on a class-by-class basis using the time-based refund policy below.
    • 100% refund for classes that never started.
  3. Within Five Calendar Days of Enrollment:

    • Students may cancel or withdraw within five days of signing the enrollment agreement for a full refund, excluding the 12% administration fee.

Time-Based Refund Policy:

  • 75% refund (minus application fee) for withdrawal during the first 10 days of classes.
  • 50% refund (minus application fee) for withdrawal from day 11 through day 24 of classes.
  • 50% refund (minus application fee) for withdrawal from day 25 through the end of the quarter, semester, or similar time period.
  • 50% refund (minus application fee) for students completing up to 25% of the course of study.
  • 25% refund (minus application fee) for students completing more than 25% but less than 50% of the course of study.

Refund Processing:

  • Refunds will be paid within 45 days of the student's withdrawal from the University.

Registration Status Codes:

  • Withdrawn, refund due (WN):

    • Student attended classes, withdrawn within refund rules, not transferring to another section.
    • W grade will show on the transcript.
  • Withdrawn, no refund due (WC):

    • Withdrawal after 20% of the course start date and before 61% of scheduled hours have passed.
    • W grade will show on the transcript.
  • Drop Delete (DD):

    • Student drops the course before the first date of attendance within the refund rules.
    • Course will not appear on transcripts; the record is erased.
